Good Day, kind people of Moray and Nairnshire,
I am a member of a theatrical Scottish Clan that performs at Rennaisance Faires and Scottish events in Dallas, Texas, USA.
The name of our mythical clan is "Na Clanna MacPolk." Our mythical "homeland" is Moray and Nairnshire, circa 1533.
It is my task to research the history of the region from 1450-1575, including information on the structure of life in a Scottish Clan in that era.
We know there is nothing worse than foreign decendants of Scotsmen trying to act Scottish, but we are attempting to make this as authentic as possible.
Any links to any information on village life, customs, social manners, skills and crafts, weapons and tools, history, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

| nice to see Elgin on line.My father and all my ansesters come from elgin.Born in South college street,High street, and Murdochs Wynd.Names of Dingwall,Anderson,Farquhar.Also have a head stone in the cathedral grounds.Have not been up to Elgin for a few years, but hope to before too long. |
